Friends, Family, and Members of Knoxville Pres,

Hope you all are having a great week.  We wanted to send you an email to remind you of a few things:

  • The Parables: We are rounding out our series on the Parables of the Kingdom.  In fact, counting this coming Sunday, we only have three more weeks of parable teachings.  This week we will be covering Luke 14:28-32.
  • Survey: If moving forward is the hope, a known starting point is necessary.  We have created a basic survey that we would like you to take.  It will only take you a few moments.  Please, click HERE to take the survey.
  • Summer Hours: Beginning June 4th (this coming Sunday) we will begin gathering at 9am for our worship service.  We will follow this schedule through August, and then we will return to our normal worship times.
  • Special Events: Although we will be gathering a 9am for most of the summer, we have two back-to-back worship events that will take the place of the 9am worship service:
    • VBS Sunday: On June 25th at 10:30am we will be joining all the other churches of Knoxville at the High School for a joint worship service to launch this year's Vacation Bible School.
    • Worship in the Park: On July 2nd at 10:30am at the Pavilion in the center of town, we will be partnering with Community Bible Church for a Worship in the Park.  This service will be unique in that both churches are leaving the confines of their building to worship together as one body of Christ for the good of the city.  A special offering will be taken that day and 100% of that offering will go to Habitat for Humanity.  Immediately following the service, many of us will be heading over to James Knox Park for fellowship and food (be ready to bring one of your favorite dishes) - more info to come!

I believe that is all for now.  If you have any questions, don't hesitate to reply to this email.  Have a great week!
